cheers dude. yeah i did but its not the best tbh.. come with all the ancillaries i needed so worth the money anyway..
nice one for the zorst!! :)
no worries matey, is there any reason to suspect that the engine your getting will actually need a rebuild?, it may be ok.

no the engine s fine tbh. small oil leak but why it's out i mite aswell treat it.
id personally just clean it up,give it fresh fluids, sort the oil leak and drop it in bud.
Maybe compression test it just to check but seriously dont pull it apart unless you need to matey, there very simple to take in and out no big issue if something goes wrong down the line.
as dj said ...do a compression test on the engine ...it may not need a rebuild :)
plus at least then if you try your hand a tuning and make a mistake its not going to be a freshly built lump thats broke, just a 2nd hand one.

While the sumps off takes no time and costs v little to change the big end bearings. worthwhile doing imo. and check your oil pump clearances.

what was wrong with the gtt?
i dont believe anything is wrong with the r5.. its his friends..
Basically i think r5 is running standard engine nothing special.. however has brought the engine in the pics to rebuild and drop in whilst keeping the r5 a runner, however he then plans to take the old r5 engine out and sell it to jamie to drop in the clio, however jamie plans to rebuild it to ensure its fresh :)

all bearings will be being changed also and new rings etc.
thanks folks.

so the build was going well. until the fourth day, was fitting the exhaust and noticed a crack in the gearbox so whipped the engine back out and put my 1.4 gearbox on for now.
she runs sweet. had some miss firing issues due to dodgy leads and plugs from cgb but all sorted now.
next to do is get a clio 16v gearbox some wideband and a t25.
turned boost up to 13 psi today and went out to annoy some v-taks ;)
and then its on to the bodywork. sorry for the lack of info and crap quality pics id rather just let the pics do the talking.
thanks for looking

andy ive not done it for speed entirely, ive done it as i love the engines and wanted to be proud to put my name to it, just wanted to do a conversion that looks like it grew there.
fr may be loads better but i bet none of them make the sounds this thing does.
thanks.
race ya! race ya! lol :P
i've never really liked clio's but yours is pretty sweet, everything looks right if you get me?
