turning circle

Are there modified steering racks with limited turning circle as my 5 turns in the same space as an artic !!!, i removed the big 17" wheels and fitted smaller but it doesnt turn for sh@t

there are such things as quick racks but not sure if they do them for gt's

is it better one way than the other? rack might not be central, tracking not miles out?
