starter motor prob

tried a starter motor on the 5 today that has come off a working car, everything is the same set up sept a l/b fly. when it starts my car up it grinds its head off. any suggestions?

make sure the locating dowel is in the right place if it is loosen off the bolts slightly and give the starter casing a little tap re-tighten the bolts and see if its any better if not try tapping it the other way.
