thats a very big turbine, it'll be very laggy on an R5. there isn't enough data there to tell you any more than that.

Was also thinking it was a bit big but was looking for a t25. I used to own a bb250 and i loved that turbo because it wasn't to laggy on the street. Don't know the specs of my old one.

I've never seen that T3 compressor housing used with the .86 turbine housing before...

RE5GT: a standard turbo assembled to more precise tolerances (up to 16 psi) £350+vat
MI610R: larger high flow compressor wheel, drilled oil galleries and dual ramped 360 race thrust bearing (up to 19 psi) £520+vat
MI515R: as the 610 with t25 core and larger compressor housing (up to 24 psi) £699+vat
MI502R: larger high flow compressor wheel, turbine wheel and also quicker "boost up" than 515 (up to 28 psi) £820+vat
MI300R: larger t3 compressor and larger exhaust housing, proven to produce over 50 psi (measured at inlet manifold!)...this unit was used in BB tunings demo car, and produced 292bhp @ 36 psi..:).....theses are all bb tuning turbos.
there is also a MI370R: all the merits of the 300 with a lot less lag and also a MI385RV:agree:

you have to take that up with bb tuning my friend:)......thats there claims, not mine and there prices, i agree, crazy!:agree: i dont think they suggest 50 psi...and this was probably a contoled test. day in, day out you would not run 50 psi, personally i would`ent evn run at 50 psi on a trackcar. any luck on the rtoc sunstrip?, still not recieved it....any ideas when its gonna be sent out? cheers bud

50psi day in day out!! errm NO.

i personally wouldnt run mine over 25psi, and that would be in little blips. day in day out id be happy with 14psi.

id actually like to know who runs the max boost day in day out with no issues??

What do you consider max boost? I run my car at 20psi manifold pressure all day everyday and the only issues i have with the car is the buggered suspension :)

That last unit BB have in there list, i'd assume is a rollerbearing core, 50psi may be a bit of an exaduration, they can take about 40psi and hold up ok. They don't run a thrust bearing like conventional turbos do, the rollerbearing cartridge deals with the load once the turbo comes on boost, and because of the lack of friction they can deal with alot more abuse.

Those prices are fairly steep too...:D

talking to a member earlier today, he suggested bbtunings claims where fraudulent. when bbtuning where making these claims in 1999, he would have been 14-15 years old. these cars have been modified for years, i owned my 1st 5 in 94:)... "in the tuning game there are lots of claims about performance mods and power figures. often these claims are crap, so its good to see outfits like BB tuning" quote from Maxpower may,2000.:coffee:.....your still 100% correct mate. who am i to argue with the maxpower mag?
