AFR Guage probe position?

Hi all just wondering where people install there afr probes in the exhaust ? I recently bought a plx setup and it said to fit about 20" from turbo so i had the bung welded underneath the car but i have recently bought a Big Jim downpipe with a bung near the turbo is this likely to kill the sensor loads faster being this close?

mine is about 3-4" from the turbo, and all the ones ive seen are about the same. my aem instructions said to mount it approx 30" from the exhaust valves?

Sounds good i would prefer the probe in the downpipe rather than a bung :D
