Carb question

Hi all

I have a customers g plate gt turbo In my workshop that refuses to lay down any boost
Bin over usual things to ding the excelerator pump mechanism don't move. Seized solid.
Also the carb was loose off the manifold.
I've taken carb off for a rebuild.
And now I'm confused.
1) it came apart really easy. Cars been sitting for 2 years.
2) the venturi is stamped 24 were as my other are all 25.
3) on the second stage enrichment part, the bit that bolts to side of carb. There's an extra bit. Wich I've never seen before!

The carb look the same as normal and also has the same numbers on the body (71696)
Also on the side with numbers are 2 extra take offs which are blanked off

Cam any 1 shed any light on this plz

sounds like an 18 turbo...they had the 24 venturi.....as well as a more complicated enrichment system

I've never come across 1.
Is it safe?
Worth re building and putting back on

as far as i know its the enrichment add on which is not a needle and jet,might be the prob (seized or corroded)but u might be able to put a gtturbo one on instead

I tried one of theses a while ago. I think it had a 1.10 main jet in it. Got it to idle ok but on part throttle it just ran like a bag of ****. And on boost had AFR's in the 9's at 20psi. In the end gave up and put a stock carb back on.
