i wanna sell my i pod touch 8gb, but people are asking what gen it is, does anyone know how to find out?

1st generation has no speakers needs headphone plugged in to hear,
2nd generation has speakers built in and is thinner than 1st also has oval wifi section on rear,
3rd generation has microphone and voice control
