The jammy sod's gone and done it, Andy Speck ran a 9.86 @ 148mph today in his RS Tuning mapped Vauxhall Tigra. Just spoke to him on the phone, he's pretty happy as you'd imagine. He went 116mph in the 8th, 1.67 60'. The run was done at 7.30pm at santa pod with a 4°C track temp! He used my wheels and tyres to do it, so atleast I own something that's done a 9 :D

Congrats to him though, very well done. :agree:

Lets hope those wheels will be doing 9's on another car then! :D

how much boost is he running now? he up with the yanks at 40+?


shows what the track will "hold" too, i cant tand the comments that the track wont take 150mph when running 26" slicks in august! 25`s in winter hold it fine :laugh:

I bet hes chuffed to bits, whilst I've never really had much to do with the drag strip since I got to know both Scoff and Specky I've been keeping up to date with it and I'm shocked at how fast things are moving, looking forward to the extreme home brew Scoffs gonna come up with to beat him :D

Speckys is running 604bhp and I'm sure he said it's at 2 bar but it's been a couple of weeks since I spoke to him so that could of changed.

Yeah, things have progressed a bit with his car since the last outing. by the by, I've never yet met a serious racer who doesn't bend the truth a bit when talking about boost levels and other details surrounding their tune :laugh: ;)

What kind of bhp are you getting?
How much does your car weigh scoff?

saw the tigra appear at the end of the day at flame and thunder yesterday and was amazed at the time :eek::eek:
i bet he is chuffed!!congrates
