lights come on when doing up windows

ok , although its not really a problem i was just wondering what it could be..

when i put my r5 windows up and the lights are off, the windows go up slowly, (tpyical with both my r5s) and the headlights light up.

Its a bad earth! Check the earth point in the passenger footwell just below the bonnet pull. 13mm bolt :agree:

Bad earth could cause a multitude of symptoms, including slow window motor.

Slow windows could be the grease in the mech, it goes thick with age & then a bit sticky, esp when it's cold.
