Ive spent most of the day so far removing what i can of the old ones which had split and where basically moulded to the carb..

Im trying to put my new ones on but they seem too thick  Anyone else have this problem?

this happened to me so i put the throttle plates in an oven at 100c for ten mins and they go in no prob using a vice and small socket to squeeze them in...(and a pair of thick gloves):)

i have just put these in a carb of mine and the shaft is tight so when you press the throttle it doesnt go back to idle at 1000 rpm it sticks at about 2000 rpm so you have to open bonnet and put throttle clam down, its not on the road yet i just hope the seals wear in so it will drop down to idle at 1000 rpm on its own. anyone else had this problem???

Little bit of lub on the seal normally works, just wip the surface and it will allow then to squeeze in and also the shaft to move freely in there.

The shaft does wear into the new seal in the end, just as its new they normally are abit tight.
