New camshaft?

What are peoples thoughts on cams these days (c1j) Is it still the piper 285 (what spec is it now???) or are we leaning away towards catcams etc?

We require a cam including vernier etc suitable for road use, looking at either a quick spooling T25 type turbo or a VNT if we can get one cheap enough. The engine made 180bhp at 17psi with a saab t25 and standard cam so looking at hopefully the 200bhp mark with a little better breathing.

Any recommendations with prices etc??

i also am interested in thoughts on a cam for a similar set up ill be using a t25/t2 with .63 t2 ex housing i currently have a bb tuning cam in there which is a tad milder than piper 270. i will upgrade to a t28 front with the .63 t2 housing down the line.

is there a cam thats in between a 270 and 285 ?
