replacing windscreen

hi could anyone tell me the cost roughly of replacing a r5 gt windscreen including buying a new screen and can you get new rubbers for them or a universal one? mine is ok but paint shop scratched it with sander idiots!!and i want the car mint. thanks

I got one replaced by the RAC just before I came over to Oz about 5 years ago and that cost about GBP140 for the screen and fitting. It would have cost more if I went to the local RAC windscreen place for a quote. Always get a quote from the national number as they have more discount authority.;)

I had my done from my local windscreen fitters and it was £80 supply and fit including rubber (they used a universal rubber but looked okay for me)

80 thats well cheap, gonna have a ring around, mine needs a new rubber aswell not too bothered about it being universal, probably better actually as the r5 is renown for the rust under windscreen and i dont want any of that
