missing when hitting boost

brought the r5 out the garage earlier, it was boosting wiith no problem, until all of a sudden it popped very loud, and shot a flame out the eghaust (so the mrs behind tells me).

It carried on to drive fine, however when coming on boost, as soon as it build up to around 10psi it missis before driving fine.. popped bonnet nothing obvious..

for now i put it away but just after ideas really.

any idea on this folks..

I think my first port of call is going to be removign the dizzy cap/arm, leads and plugs to check for any obvious problems.

mine missed on high boost, it was the plugs

Sounds to me like the plugs, just chuck a new set in and check gaps before fitting.

Check for moisture in the dizzy cap as well

just thought it was strange as it was boosting fine, until the backfire and then it played up..

I would say plugs mate but also check the ur jets not been blown out as it happened to mine one time after it misfired on boost.
