Inner Sill and rear bumper bracket repair panels

I have had a few PM’s about the repair panels that I had made for the inner sills and rear bumper brackets on, THIS (http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=3234) thread, so I have decided to get prices to have them made. Now the price really depends on how many sets I can buy. So I thought it might be a good idea to start a list to see how many sets are required.

So prices would be:

Sill Repair Panels
2off - £28.80 each.
10off - £12.60 each
20off – £9.56 each

Rear Bumper brackets
2off - £15.64 each.
10off - £4.72 each
20off – £3.20 each
You can see buying in bulk really does get the price down. And remember that’s price each so if everyone wants a full set to do both sides we only need 5 people to get the 10off price J
I don’t mind if people want to paypal the money to me, I’ll get them ordered and send them out in the post. If I use the courier at work the postage shouldn’t be more than a tenner.
If we got enough for 5 sets the price would be £34.64 per set + P&P
If we got enough for 10 sets the price would be £25.52 per set + P&P

my rear bumper is on securely and doesnt move about but if you stand back its slightly on the piss, im asshuming those brackets would fit in place and my bumper would fit straight.

Right guys, I’ll place an order at the 20off prices tomorrow.

So the prices will be

Bumper Brackets £3.20 each
Sill Repair Panels £9.56 each.

For a full set of parts the postage would be £10.00
For a pair of sill repair panels would be the same £10.00
For a pair of bumper brackets it would be £8.00

Totals
Pair of brackets = £6.40 + £8.00 P&P + Paypal Fees £0.69 = £15.09
Pair of sill strips = £19.12 + £10.00 P&P + Paypal Fees £1.19 = £30.31
Set of each = £25.52 + £10.00 P&P + Paypal Fees £1.41 = £36.93

I used THIS (http://www.tutv.co.uk/fresh/bitsandpieces/paypalcost.php) to calculate the paypal fees (so I assume its right)

The parts would be a few days cutting so I would be able to send them out next week.

Yeah mate got a few cheques to pay in, haven't made it to the bank this week but will get down there tomorrow :)


Just a quick update, the parts didn't arrive today but tbh there would of been too much for me to pack up and ship out all at once. I should have them Monday / Tuesday so I will start wraping and packing mid week with the aim to get them all out by the weekend. Sorry for the delay but I under estimated the demand for these and work involved in packing them all up!

hi guys, glad you like them :)

Basically I spent 3 hours after work wrapping all the bits up on Friday night :crap:. I managed to get all the small parcels (i.e. the rear brackets) over to the post office the same night.

I had the wifes 182 so couldn't get the sill plate packages in the car (they are 1.8m long)

I'll be sending the sill repair panels on Monday (by courier) so they should arrive via APC on Tuesday.

Thanks for the positive feedback, I still have a few bits left if anyones interested drop me a PM or I'll be putting them on e-bay at twice the price :agree:

i havnt looked at the car yet but i presume the holes in the panel are roughyl where the orignal spot welds are..?,, any advice on fitting these :)

Well both pieces you've got are the same (to keep the price down) However the position of the spot weldon the LHS and RHS of the car are different. On one side you will just have to weld the 3 up in the middle of the plate as they aren't used but on the drivers side they will line up with another panel behind :)

I just measured the position of the big slot on the old bracket relative to a few different features on the car then when I cut it off I made sure the new brackets slot was in the same position (roughly) then used som grips to hold it into position and marked where i needed to bend the upper tab. Bent that in the vice and re-checked the fit, once i was happy I spotted it through one hole and did the same on the other side. I then tried the bumper on for position. Mine was spot on first time so I removed it and welded them up :)

Dont suppose we have a date on when these will be done do we or if it is even going ahead. The reason i ask is ill be stripping my car back in the next few months and i may need to replace.

Right Chaps, its no problem getting more of these made. The reason I've backed off slightly is because last time I sold them far too cheap. I didn't do it to make money (as you can see from the prices) but it almost ended up costing me money...

Firstly I forgot about VAT and secondly packaging and my time to kit it all up and ship it out.

So if we are to move forward on these the price woul have to go up slightly. Costs would be as per the 10off prices as below. Please can you confirm that you are still be interested.

Sill Repair Panels
10off - £12.60 each

Rear Bumper brackets
10off - £4.72 each

I'm still to get prices on the sill clips but i will update the thread this week :)

I've just bought a set of sill clips from Djiunk, once I get those I will be getting prices to have them made at the same time. So its gona be a week or so before I order and a week on top for delivery.
