from reading lots of threads on tubular manifolds most people say dont bother.
I don't think there have been any proven gains from fitting 1, I think all that happens is you loose the GTT burble.
i have heard that people dont think thay that great.. an to lose the burble, thats one of the best bits bout the 5 is the sound... i have a tubular that came with my raider, just not sure wheather to fit it or not...:crap:

well if you choose not to fit it, i know a guy that might want it so drop me a pm if you want rid.
ok still 50/50 but cheers :)
i heard mixed reviews. bought one....
cons...loss off burble
realy tight fit if your running a bigger downpipe or like me a BMS jobbie
heard tales of cracking but mine hasnt....yet,touch wood
price
badly made, mine was full of weld **** so got it blasted through
pro's..gave me extra 13bhp (manifold alone)
extra 12lbt
exhaust is ALOT quieter all through the range till you nail it,then it goes crazy
i say if you have it,stick it on :)
pro's..gave me extra 13bhp (manifold alone)
Are you sure?
ok, the one i got doesnt seem too badly made, quite neat welds ect, but loss of burble, o dear.. but then again with the gains ur statin it sounds like it might be worth a try... did u test the gains on the rollers then?? :)

I have had a tubes manifold for years.
Good points = looks the nuts. Not many people have them.Stoped my gt from sounding like a boat. Also i thinks it helped my turbo spool up a little quicker.:)
Bad points=Cost from new.Cost of heat wraping. It has cracked once.A tight fit
I bought mine secound hand so it was not to much money but i am not sure if i would pay out for a brand new one.

New poster! (less than 10 posts)
It would be nice to see some before and after dyno figures for your manifold jure, and for any other tubular for that matter.
Are you sure?
positive mate,made....172bhp @1bar and 198lbt on 23/8/08, then fitted manifold,went to same RR and got 185bhp @1bar (185@ 1bar) and 210lbt on the 27/10/2008
il put the graphs on my profile when i get a chance, obv there could be a diff in air temp' etc but not that much surely?made a positive diff on mine but still not worth buying new IMO
I'm suprised no one has mentioned the fact that the quickest C1J's all use standard manifolds, none of that tubular ****.
if u could post graphs up that was be good mr 5, be good to see some info on paper... :)
Seriously, I wouldn't take any RR graph to heart. The exrta power/torque means **** all. You can run your car twice in the same day and not get the same results!!
is it just me or does the collector order look a bit funny on those manifolds.
so are we saying renault got the OE manifold spot on..?
i would have thought there would be some gain in a tubular manifold..?
not that ill be investing in one.
