took car out for a spin this morning drove great, got in it this afternoon and it would not go into gear tryed so hard no joy.

check clutch cable. dose it go into gear with the engine off?

when engine is of all gears engage properly only when engine is running no chance.

check the ratchet on the pedal and the bush on the gearbox fork make sure that they are ok.

Bush on gear box ok and rachets good.

im sure there would be some tests you could do but i dont know what they would be really, sure someone on here will know what to do tho. If you put it in say 1st gear with the clutch pressed down then try to start it will it lurch foward? Also have a look at the gear selector rod and check the 13mm nut that adjusts it is tight.

try and adjust the clutch ratchet so that you can move the releasing point higher. fingers crossed your ratchet just needs some adjustment. If you can get someone to watch the clutch release arm on the gearbox move as your pressing the clutch to make sure it is moving enough. If thats moving enough then theres something causing the clutch to not disengage.

alrite carl how you doing, i had a bit of a clutch problem a while ago found that the spring on the clutch pedal was stretched so i replaced it and all is good.
