EDIT : This car is sadly now on ebay (23/10/10 ) due to my court costs etc ( life crisis im going thru ) being so high, i need the money. I would consider swapping for something like a 1.0 citroen ax and cash etc.

Hello I joined the site yesterday, and I thought it was time to show you some more pictures of my Renault 9 turbo !

Im pretty sure this was for sale earlier in the year on here / pistonheads ...

It is 1987 , 1.4 turbo , Red ... I think its going to need a new turbo and a few bits doing, but this doesn't bother me..

Yeah its not all that pretty, but its a nice little car and in fairly good condition...

Its not too bad, but the turbo is leaking oil externally on the cold side ( i think ? )and the oil feed hose line is starting to split.
If that hose splits , instant death for engine and turbo. So need to find one asap.

I know this car as it was local to me (owned by a friend of a friend) you've got yourself a really good example there I must say :agree:

Changing the oil feed pipe is easy enough, check out Hose Solutions for a new braided oil line ;)

Are you sure car made in 1987? This is ph1 uo '86 and hp2 from '87
main difference beetwen ph1 and ph2
- turbo with water coolant
- other type of carb ventil
- the face: lol

Ah sorry for not keeping you lot updated on this.

Well long story short, decided to keep the beast ( i had a few thoughts of selling it, as my driving licence is in limbo at the mo ) So a couple of updates:

Have just fitted the original speedlines (now refurbed in a nice colour )with some nice sticky toyo t1r's
Has just gone through full MOT with only one or two little advisories ( tyre , wiper blade lol )
Have painted dump valve etc black , so it looks stock underneath ( i hate chavy shiny stuff sorry ! )
Have fully refurbed the carb, but cant get it to idle properly! :(

Pictures to follow this weekend, promise :D

Quick update, Brand new toyo T1R 195/55/14s (£120 an axle! ) 195/60/14s on the rear ( a little too big ) + original speedlines ( now refurbed ) on the car

Shame it was such a dull day and the car needed a polish :scared:
More piccies next few days, once i have restored all the black trim on the car :D ( Especially that trim at the very bottom of the doors )

The camera makes the car look pink and grey lol

( It also put it on ebay about 3 weeks ago, but i managed to get a bit of cash together. Sadly now that cash is gone and i really really do need the money , gutted because i have just spent loads on this car ) new mot etc
