Big Jim Racing has just made me a new straight through 21/2" side exit which exits both sides of the car:)

Massive thanks for a great job and service.

How close it that right hand pipe to the fuel lines?

I thought about this many moons ago but didn't think it was legal on a road car...being a track based beast that obviously wont matter!!!

Less noise.... More power.
This is quieter than my blue Clio at 4000rpm.
We will see what happens at brands this weekend.....

Yeah Matt, Brands will be a good tester this weekend:)

Fuel lines are fine, but will put some heat tape on them just to be sure.

The original sidey was too loud 108db at 4000rpm (limit 105db) so we put in a silencer which did the trick on the noise 103db, but seriously affected the power and performance.
This straight through pipe with the tail pipes facing the floor helps when they noise test 1m away and on one side:D.

Went to Brands yesterday for a noise test and couldnt get it over 104db even though at tickover its 93db and back to the tractor sound:laugh:

Had a little blast and feels loads quicker, might even have to turn the boost down:wasntme:

Very nice, sneaky way of getting the noise tester confused! :agree:

How is the racing going? Are your tyre prices shooting up at the same rate as moulded slicks?

That looks like a seriously nice piece of kit. And a great way to get round the noise tester :)

The car doesn't have the original tank, it has a cell inside the car with an alloy cover, so fuel lines run differently to a normal 5.

With this exhaust, I think we should get the 'famous flame' back Dave....!;)
