View Full Version : Miserable sods
Some bugger has written to the council accusing me of running a car repair business from a residential property
I'm to phone the planning enforcement officer :coffee:
Anyone that has visited my street will know you have to live and let live to even park sometimes ,I'm lucky in that I can get mine all off the street but hey I think I might just be parking all the road legals out there from now on
Spoken to the council .
Explained that I'm a Hobbyist Renault Geek and they are my cars or belong to friends . Always kept off the road as they are valuable classics
She said that's fine, as long as they are not an eyesore, it's not a problem and will write to the :jerkoff: to explain the situation .
Think I'll post a notice on the phone pole outside the gates to explain this also .
i bet the curtain twitching old biddy will be nashing her denchures at being foiled.....
Some people really have nothing better to do, you should feel sorry for them! :wasntme:
I really hate people that moan like that.. only been moaned at once in my road, think the old cnuts dead now.. why not approach you them selfs... hahah
What really pisses me off is that I'm always considerate with noise etc and my cars are mostly kept on my property but am often blocked in by others parking so I can't get off the drive ...
haha gotta love neighbours ..i get the "could u move your car ..as i need parked there" ..when i have the car on axle stands! ..or the "auch yer not working on that car again!" So now i take my cars elsewhere to work on them ..saves hassle
Ive not had a council complaint yet tho ..most of my neighbours are curtain twitchers also ...their just bored and have nothing else to do

my old 5 was complained to the council about after the first letter i never heard anything else.
I have a problem with the bloke next door to me, we don't get on.
And he's threatened to call the council on me for the same lol. What makes it funnier is he is a self employed cab driver and therefore runs his cab firm from home, only him in 1 car, but still the same principal applies lol.
I normally do all the work on my drive or in my garage, but at 1 point I had 3 cars on the drive, 1 a breaker, 1 being repaired and 1 working, then the White 5 in the garage, so I had to use the overflow workshop(back garden lol)
I had the cabby 5 parked in the garden, the 21 turbo I had on axle stands changing the gearbox and my m3 cab on axle stands changing a core plug, lol
I looked like steptoe and sons. Lmao
No1 else was bothered or complained.
And **** em, it's my house I paid for it so I'll use it how I want lol.
I've got three on the drive but they are all runners and mostly work in the garage so it's just someone being a **** for the sake of it :sad2:
Or it could be the fact that I've recently bought a 5 ;)

yeah your road is a bit of a mare to be honest! but you gotta hate that someone has gone to the length of reporting you when they could be doing something else with their time, like weeding perhaps

next door was moving in and i went for a spin in my 106 rallye, an hour later i can back with it on a flat bed all smashed up:D they must have thought i was a right cnut:cooter:
i thought they would be a nightmare but no ones every moaned and i've had atleast 1 car in bits at all times, often another wether its my daily or a mates car.. they just let the bush grow over 6ft and that suits be as my cars hidden from the road now..
if they were being c0cks about it i'll go out and bang a hammer on the rear beam each day and do some angle grinding each evening.. show them how bad things can be:agree:

To be fair though Clee, your street isn't the largest in the world & parking certainly is at a premium! ;)
They probably think you've got too many cars.... something a man can never have enough of!
heanor:disagree::sad2::rolleyes:
...we're down to only 2 BNP councillors now Raj :agree:
I'm assuming that's what the implication is ? Gene pool is very shallow round these parts though

When I lived with my cousin in Newquay, we had an old biddy lived above us and used to give us hassle all the time, with our cars. She was so nosey she used to peer in through the window of my room as she went by, I wouldn't of minded but when I'm strolling around b"llock naked, then its an invasion of privacy. Her dog went for me once, off its lead, but luckly I had my haynes manual with me and went Brian Lara on thats poodles ass. Near on tw@tted it into next doors garden. I love animals but that dog was a right little cnut.
armed with a trusty haynes manual!

Protecting his nakedness
Clee, is it other people blocking your drive?
and do you have 'lowered' kerb to get onto your drive
as if so, it is, so I got told by a traffic cop when we had problems in our street, the same as "double yellow lines"
so you can actually call the police to have the car moved!
if its your car, tough ;)
I've only had trouble once! and it wasn't from the turbo2's! it was my 21! started it up to move it off the drive, went back to shut the door and the old git across the road went nuts on me
pah! I just laughed and sat there for 10mins with him ranting! waste of petrol but worth it!

Firing up the v6's all at once with open headers will cure this problem:D
I had some old wrinkly having a go because i was working on my car outside on path(i now know this is apparantly illegal on public land?!) wasn't blocking it by any means so promptly told her to f off and mind her own business, never seen her again
