the 2tone scheme i was thinking about was electric blue with anthracite kit, sort of a new take on the origeneral phase1 look??
I like it, I've seen something simular before and thought it looked really good.. quite like the non colour-coded ph1's :agree:

BMW Mini metalic brown! ;)
I think that'll go well with the cream engine bay.

No i don't think it really caught on to be honest, i think a 5 would look really good in metalic brown with few cream touch's to it and a nicely contrasted engine.
Your right electric blue is a rare colour for a 5 and for me the best colour but for me sometimes going against the grain makes them stand out. ;)
Wrighty - Sounds like you got it all planned out for a certain black 5. ;)

sorry but when i see a car with a different colour kit i think it looks like the owner is building a replica or just nicked the kit off another car, makes the car look unfinished in my opinion.
i'd do what your bro did with his blue/silver 5, bottom blue and roof same as the engine bay

:smokin: ;), the colour i like looks almost black in most lights but when the sun hits it, looks dark brown/ purple flippy metallic. Elec Blue is the bollox though, Jesus's is proper nice, If I was to have a different coloured kit it would have to be like a phase one.
personally jimmy i love the colour as it is, however somthing that personally to me dosent work on your car is the wheels, they looked great before in silver, but im not feeling the white/chrime centres with the checkers, ive seen it work on other euro inspired cars, but personally it seems clash clash on yours, id maybe try changing somthing there, maybe keeping it simple with a chrome outa lip and the cream centers.

im thinking about loosing the borbets anyway and going for something abit more old skool (maybe ph1 19 wheels).
i had the borbets powdercoated as the chrome lips were in a poor state and behond being able to repolish

after having the paint and kit done in grey or whatever i still wouldn't be happy, i'd have to hunt down a unpainted phase 1 kit and have it..
finding some phase 1 gears not as hard as you think and if you splashing out on paint why not just blow some more £££.. i'd have the whole car+ kit done one colour to match it all up, then fit the oe phase 1 kit..
pm mike phase 1 and see what he's got kicking about:smokin:
