Original Head Thickness...??

Bought a spare head a few years ago but i forgot all about it......just found it and it measures 74mm anyone know what they where out the factory? (havent got my haynes to hand)

I don't know exactly but if it's under 74mm it's been skimmed.

I thought standard thickness was 73.5mm with some hotter countries coming in at 73.9mm?

Early heads were 74mm. Mine on the van after a reface is 73.7:cool:

original UK ones were 73.5mm.
i think the swiss had 74.5mm ones, and subsequently all new castings were then swapped to the 74.5mm depth ones.
