As it says in the title I had loads of boost leaks which resulted in an 101mph trapspeed:cry:
all the leaks are sorted now.but it needs the map tweeking as it's running leaner as soon as it hits full boost:cool:

Possibly a new route forwards for the r5 transplants ?. What level of work was required to get said engine , into the r5?.

A guy in burton once managed to get a 2.0 redtop into a r5, but i only ever heard of it going for mot and failing, and that was the last of it.

There's quite a bit of work involved.custom brackets for engine mounts, front crossmember cut and moved forward, driveshafts cut n shut(Toyota ones slot into the Renault shafts) no gear linkage rod to do as it's on cables,I also cut the scuttle away for easy access to everything at the back of engine, new alternator arm and bracket made as the origanal sits very close to brake servo.also the drivers side chassis leg was slightly modified.

Well done dude looks very tidy. :)

this has to be a perfect conversion for the r5 as long as you have the time n money to do it.:agree:
