popping

when coming down through gears its popping/backfiring.
What can this be , overfueling im not to sure

I had this problem on my last 5, it turned out it was simply missing the 2 restrictors in the T peice on the breater system near the carb. check both of them are in situ and not been sucked down the pipe.

its generally unburnt fuel in the hot exhaust. mine gargles in over-run but its not embarrassing, sounds pretty cool actually imo.

a straight-through exhaust usually does this!!
