He says he has kent cams notice the 's' on the end of cam...

Roll cage is not really approved for much except injury in a crash.

DE CAT ... hmmmmm wtf

1 d/v is to many so he must have come out the closet having 2 on there, hence the split from long term relationship.

Looks very tidy, not a bad price if its a solid shell, and genuinly good engine.

Could ask more for that really.. if all in check:)

Haha thanks guys. Everything you have put the WTF on got me like WTF, i dont no what he means an cant understand him because he's scottish ( no offence just have trouble to understand scottish )

The predicted power output got me too :dearme:

Yes it does look sweet with the carbon mods splitter and clean and tidy ( and its in the best colour :) that bonnet and wheels need to come off tho, so if i buy it any one want them ha??) but he has no paper work because he told me that his ex - girl burnt all his stuff from clothes to photo's and paper work. But has no one on here ever seen it before??

not a bad looking motor just depends on what sh*t he was fed when he got it???
all that work done with a standard rad??? Bless him!!!!!!! :coffee:

standard rads work wonders at most power ;)

Gavin
26-08-2010, 21:11
Hmmmm but its standard!!!! im hopefully getting a double capacity alloy rad with seprate oil cooler as ive been advised thay run a little on the HOT side?????? :agree::disagree:

JRP
26-08-2010, 21:14
standard radiators do a top job, copper core rads are ****e.. and iam not convinced by my after market rad and oil cooler set up... most people will tell you standard rads are tip top for the job..

As a AA man every 5 GT ive come across has alwase overheated with standard set up, What do you guys think of double capacity intercoolers???????

Only if something's not working correctly. The standard cooling system is perfectly up to the job if it's all in good order.

Just because something's standard, that doesn't mean that it's no good. Believe it or not, Renault do actually know what they're doing! Once upon a time, the tuners thought they knew best, and offered 'uprated' this, that and the other, and just about everyone fell for it. Nowadays though, gtt owners have got got wise, and realised that in actual fact, Renault got a lot of it right in the first place, and now the tuners have moved onto the poor old Clio owners

But why?

Surely if they all overheated, Renault would have noticed this while designing/testing the car :cartman:

Bread bin gt tuning for std position, or a decent tried and tested front mount set up

My gtt with standard rad, thermostat etc never even went over half way in france whilst on the move, ambient temp of 28deg..

For standard position i/c's, the GT Tuning one came out top in the test that Mart did a few years ago. They go for big money though. A lot of people go for custom FMIC set ups, as they can be done on the cheap, and can still be hidden behind the standard bodywork.

I know the lad who ownes/owned this car, he has spent money on it but its far from solid and does not look as good up close, as you can tell from description hes abit of a dreamer, personally i wouldnt touch it, unless its goin for around 800 to a 1000 cos it is ready for welding and spraying

This is true, we have all been sucked into this at some point. I have a copper-core rad and external oil cooler, this is way to ott for my grandad driving in the gtt..I was convinced when i first started out in the gtt world, that this is what i needed. As bill said, if everthing is in order in the cooling department your laughing. :agree:

the cars i went out to were or i was told!! all tuned up running BIG power!! with standard rad and oil cooler and thats why its overheated!! But if you guys are saying diffrent then so be it!!! i had 3 gordini turbo's (one was for spares) and one other raider turbo that i had for 2 mounth's ive now got my current one witch i need to rebuild so ant tips would be great!!

I bet half the overheating probs aren't actually down to the rads them selves, most of the ones i've worked on have had the fault elsewhere.

If your investing in a double capacity intercooler the one to go for is the GT tuning intercooler if you can find one, it's been known to work the best out of all of them.

That goes to prove my point above - People mis-guided by tuners. We've all been there :(

If you're prepared to listen/read, you'll find out a lot on this site, more than you could ever think. There are some VERY knowledgeable members on here, with many, many years of REAL experience

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Joining this club will be the best money you ever spend on your Renault :agree:

It is very interesting for me to read that most of you never had a problem with cooling.
Maybe it is because in Hungary in the summer 32-35 degrees are not rare, and most of the cars are phase I but I've never heard a car here without cooling issues.
When I had my first GTT I always had the problem that the fan was nearly always on. I had problems with my current one also. But since I have installed a diesel R5 rad everything is fine.
But I'll see how Mart's exGTT will behave here in Hungary latest next summer. ;)
