I'm going for some continental 195/45/13's :smokin:

Black circles or camskill at around £60 a tyre.
Or I suppose toyo 888 but I think they are 205/60/13

I've got 185/60/13 R888 on my GTT and I think there great for what thy use to cost £50 each. Prices have been on the up and up for a while and from what I've been told the R888 tyre is more expensive the the Yoko alternative. Which is a longer lasting tyre from what I've read.

We they seem ok on the road in the wet but I don't drive it very hard. On track they where very good one you've got some heat into them they just didn't like standing water from what I found.

Yeah 888 are still available AFAIK, so are yoko A048 but they aren't cheap. I had 195/45/15 A539, they are good but wear out fast.

have you found a price for the r888 in 13's yet?

300 seems alot but they'll last if you do low miles each year, your cars well tracked up, and you drive well... i think my toyos will only make it to 4k, there still going but on my 5 i sold, and its fair for the grip offered..

if you get abit more life out of the yoko and a good level of grip i'd pay the £300 happily.. there nothing better than have 4 matching tyres to suit your driving needs, runners just dont cut it..

The R888 are still on sale but Toyo have stopped a lot of companies selling them while bumping up there price.

I also run Yoko A539's in 185/50/14 they're very harsh on road driving and squeal like a bitch when driving hard, and offer no where near the level of grip of the R888's but have very little road noise unlike the R888's

If needed i have a pair of brand new never fitted yoko a048 advan tyres think they are the medium compound ones in a 185/60/13 could do the pair for £100 delivered. I moved upto a 17" rim so no longer needed :)

I know they are not road legal, But I have a contact at a Formula Ranault team which I got from a meeting the other day.
He would sell me part worn Michelin 'fronts' from the single seaters. Very good fit from what I remember. It is what Renault provided the 5's for the reunion race :agree:

Im going in a van to collect a load hopefully in about 4 weeks. Ill get a price and let you know ;)
