Oil pressure gauge

Hey all,
Quick one about the standard oil pressure gauge, do the spades go on to the sender in a particular order as in a colour? to the spade nearest engine etc etc as mine seems to work in reverse an as revs rise oil pressure drops but at idle it is between 4 & 5 an engine has good oil pressure on an aftermarket gauge. Any help would be appreciated.

just spent all day getting mine to work again
when you turn ignition on it should light up then give you oil level
then when you start the car the light go's out and then gives you pressure
if you are getting the light when you turn ignition on then it is wired up right
because you can switch them and then it wont light up
if looking from front of car orange wire go's closest to gear box on the oil pressure unit and also on the level sensor if your car as that set up
