Hi all,
I thought it was as good as time as any to get the ball rolling with another UK trackday with our friends at TrackAction-Online again, at oulton park,cheshire on Friday 12th november.
It's an open pitlane format trackday,noise limit TBA, and I'm sure Steve will pop along soon with track time details and the noise limits.
He's also sorted us a good price again @ £125 per car/driver, £35 for extra drivers, £10 for passengers, and £20 for a garage. There's also free instruction available for any drivers that want it.
Payment to be made here: http://cart.trackaction-online.co.uk and although that shows a price of £150, if you add your name to this thread before payment, myself,Steve or mart will PM you the discount code.

Hi fellas
If anyone has any questions about this one just shout up. It's pretty much the same format as we've run for the last couple of years, so we'll be on track from 9am till light stops play with an hour for lunch, it's a 105db static test for noise so shouldn't be any problems there hopefully!
The last two years have been wet in the morning and dry in the afternoon so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the same again but a bit of wet just means that the nippy fwd cars can get past even more exotic kit so I'll be bringing my 106 GTi along to have some fun and I'm hoping that we will get the usual decent showing from the club as well.
We will be running the usual limited numbers for this one to avoid daft queuing to get on track and the instructors we'll be using are all Oulton specialists that I work with there at the race school and we know all the best lines ;) so well worth getting one of our guys in car with you.
Looking forward to seeing a few of you there.

There are no tickets, you just turn up on the day ;) You can of course print out the receipt for your payment you made online if you so wish.

i made a payment to trackaction like that guy told me to for £125, so do i need to get a refund or just turn up with my bank statement?
No tickets , you will get your drivers wristband when you sign on after the briefing on the day :agree:

Decided £99 was a bit too steep one nights bed even with the prospect of a bunk up with Jaffa .

my mate wants to come so he can be added on the day to drive right? also what do i need to bring id or driving licence wise?

Think I've overstroked the clutch trying to get better fast shifts .Pisser is that it worked well yesterday but not today :confused: Maybe I've broken something :coffee:
It was all going so well , put a new alt on as the old bugger died yesterday as well but I had one in stock + I had just taxed it online 10 mins beforehand .......
Time to just chill and get all the other little niggles done whilst it's on the deck over Winter for max attack next year :agree:

My turbo popped :( had to make a blanked T2 exhaust housing, so now i own a renault 5 gt............ should be rebuilt balanced and back together by dinner time so ill hopefully be there in the afternoon.

Glad to see that your guys had a good day and nice to see at least one GT out on track, I assume you got that fluid sorted Alex? Some of our days have had 10+ R5s so I hope that there is still a following for track driving on here and we'll get the numbers back up for the next one.

A great day had by all, glad the weather held off too which makes a change! It was nice to meet a few new RTOC faces, shame there wasn't a few more though as mentioned..... :scared:
I had limited running in the morning due to a few issues (got the leak sorted Steve - a pipe had come off the reserve tank :rolleyes:) Also, I couldnt manage anymore than 3 laps without the car over heating do to the new front mounted intercooler :scratch: Plenty of things to see too over the winter :)

Seeing as I had nowt to do yesterday .......found the cause .
Clutch fly etc all fine .thrust bearing and carrier not so good .

Yeah nearly everyone had gone when i got there, A few very nice cars there tho. I didnt realise it was as close as it was, we pick up a v6 customers car round the corner.
Wish i'd got to see your 5 on track. if only it'd been done an hour earlier, i didnt get the turbo till 1. :cry:

Just want to say thanks to all the guys that came along to this one, everyone was commenting on how friendly everyone was both on and off the track which is exactly what we are looking for on our club events 8) .

Brands will be on Jan 28th but it will be Indy not GP I'm afraid. There's a slight issue with the extra £20,000 (yep, 20 big ones) if we want the full circuit which makes the day pretty costly :cry:.
Anyway, I'll be posting a thread up on here and hopefully we'll get a decent RTOC showing :cool:
