My r5 currently has a imobiliser that looks like its ancient, its the sort where you have the thingy that you push into the hole before the car will turn over etc.

I would like to fit a pair of delocked doors so would therefore need remote central locking.

I thought this would be a opportunity to remove the old imobiliser and fit a decent toad or similar alarm.

Any suggestions, how hard is it to fit these ?
