Got a little project that i bought off chris (fido got a raider) just at the mot bay now so fingers crossed...
Looking forward to modding the engine but leaving it as standard looking as poss.

Slowly getting through the list, done the clocks, rear belts, got ARB bushes on order, pick up pads, flexi & ball joint tomorrow from motor factors, picked up some tyres as well today. Should be mobile by the end of the week with any luck.
Insurance sorted as well £362 f/c with the missus on as name driver  had a cheaper quote but wouldn't allow me to drive other cars which I find handy so went with the AA.

OK, slight set back, snapped the brake hose off in the caliper
Also daft MOT man put ball joint instead of track rod end, there is fook all up with the ball joint but the rod end is FUBAR
Still on track for the weekend I hope....

Yeah next one is ARB bushes, I know I'll be replacing some sheered bolts there, then at some point new wishbones, not looking forward to that...then there will be the need to rip the lump out to change the standard clutch :crap:

sorry, only just read this thread but with regards to your mot failures, i can't see that the missing centre belt would be a failure as the log book lists the 5 as a 4 seater. so by that logic, as long as the other 4 are there and in working order it wouldn't need a center belt.

things like that bug me, not saying i'm right but it seems that common sense leaves via the window in a lot of situations.

anyway good luck getting it back on the road :)
