Didn't have a clue about it. It's also £15 entry on the day, the £12.50 is advanced price according to Miller (I didn't know this til this morning). Looks like we will be over-run with Clios

Last year there was a bit of discussion about who should be allowed to attend .It all turned out OK in the end .
Again this year I've just let it take it's course and we'll see how it goes .
If it does start to turn into a ' Cliofest ' etc and the paying members object then attend the AGM and voice your opinions/solutions :agree:

i personaly have no issues with them BUT at the end of this day this club is for the TURBO charged Renault Owners Club. I am unsure how many RTOC members are doing the event/track but i am sure the Clio Sport lads have helped towards the costs etc :) Happy days all round

I can't post on that thread for some reason, poop. Can someone please post the below for me?

It is £15 on the gate for entry, the £12.50 was the advanced online price.
Passengers can pay £2 on the day for a wristband to allow them to jump in with any paying driver.
Camping is £5, whether you want to stay for only one night or both

Helmets MUST be worn and cannot be hired on the day.

The track briefing at 8:15 must be attended if you wish to go out on track, Mallory rules.

The M3s etc that were out on track last year are owned by long-time RTOC members, who happened to bring their 5s too. There is a good range of cars on track and track etiquette is exemplary for a car club, we are known for it. The track marshalls are very strict and will black flag anyone seen to drive dangerously and without courtesy to other drivers. Likewise, if you are leaking any kind of oil, you will be pulled immediately off track (all just common sense things)

Lastly, this is an RTOC event, tickets are not limited to RTOC and CS also, there is no affiliation. Anyone who wants to go on track, no matter the car or club, can buy tickets. Of course preference has gone to RTOC members, along with the lower prices.

ON THE DAY PRICES TO CLEAR IT UP

Non-Member:
Track including entry £80
Entry only £15
Camping £5
Passenger wrist band £2

Member:
Track including entry: £60
Entry only £15
Camping £5
Passenger wrist band £2

For those attending, we really hope you enjoy the day. If you are camping either night, please make sure you come and say hello. The RTOC members are known for being a great bunch and very welcoming :)

Thanks
RTOC Committee

I did confirm posting it on CS with a CM for last year and was told its no problem - so did the same this year...Luckily 95% of the forum are all talk and never attend events, so I doubt it would ever turn into a 'cliofest'. Im sure last year there were an equal amount of other make car out on track compared to Renaults too..

At the end of the day if a decent amount of tickets aren't sold, RTOC are not going to cover the costs of the day?

D4WNO
13-08-2010, 10:22
Nobody is saying that. We actually make a loss on our events every year, the costs are never covered. We are a non-profit club and this is the way it has always been :)

13-08-2010, 10:24

TBF the car does look alot better for his hard work, but seriously f*ck that amount of money to be spent on all the gear, let alone spending 2 days cleaning a car thats going to get dirty within hours of being left outside...

My detailing game came to just over £500 for my initial order for products needed to do a proper job.

Its not expensive, and its very time consuming but meh, its a personal thing - you know its done and car is swirl free =]

Unfortunatley, my AX looked rather mucky at national day as i'd not had any time to detail it since only putting the car together the week before lol :smokin:

HAHAHA Loving the comment on Cliosport!! Thats got be Jaffa!!

What happened? I left at 1'ish. Must admit, I thought the day seemed a bit pikey to start with, had a feeling that there were going to be alot of boy racers trying to race anything, but soon felt better after a few laps.

The only penis drivers seemed to the the BMW's that were overtaking mid corner, in the hairpin, and 1st corner. I even had one trying to cut inside me on that left hander after the hairpin...
