I've put a really crap red arrow pointing to the pipe to show which one I mean, its sucking in air, and when I have the engine running and cover the pipe up the rpm drops.

Any idea's guys? What should it connect to?
(I've got a seperate oil catch tank btw, if it makes a difference).

Cheers,
Luke :)

It should be connected to a T-piece thats attached to another crankcase ventilation pipe that runs between the rocker cover and the carb. That pipe should also have a restrictor in it.

Thats ther breather pipe from the inlet manifold, it normally connects to the T-piece which then goes to the breather pot and the air filter, it also has the restrictor in there too. Hope your not driving the car with the pipe like this

Do you have the original breather set up mate?

Hey,

No I dont have any of the original breather setup, The pipe that goes from the top of the rocker cover now goes to an oil catch tank.

Yeah, I've been driving the car like this, I bought the car off a guy who seemed to know at max enough about R5's to write a small section on the back of a postage stamp.
I've been trying to correct all the issues the car had when I bought it and this is the next one. Done the turbo, the engine mounts, the overheating issues, the oil leak etc....

I live near CGB motorsport so i'll go and have a chat with them tomorrow and buy some gear to sort that pipe out then.

Thanks guys,
Appreciate your help.

Luke :)
