270 cam, any good?

Runnin standard engine, t2 hybrid big down pipe air filter ex oil cooler. Is it worth changing standard cam to 270 as I don't want to run 285 cus I've heard they sound rackety and are for top of rev range only?

I probably wouldn't bother changing the cam unless you're going for a larger turbo. I wouldn't say a 285 is rackety either to be honest........
