Hi people I made some parts for my 5 some years ago that have always attracted interest from people that have seen them, so I thought I'd finally draw them up & get some quotes for them to be CNC'd. I have a number of products in mind, but the first ones that I thought I'd guage interest in are interior dress-up, namely, aluminium Light/Indicator & Washer replacement stalks & aluminium seat lifters & rake adjusters.

Below are pictures of these parts fitted to my 5.

They will be CNC'd using HE30 light weight aluminium & machine pollished. I have considered mirror pollished but imo they show fingermarks way to easily. The machine pollish does give a great look as when cnc'd, the machining marks are very slight & when machine pollished, give a durable shiney finish that doesn't need constant repollishing.

Set 1 - The stalks would be supplied as a set (2 off) & are secured via stainless steel grub screw. The Nitril grip rings also allow easy operation.
As they only weigh a few grams, the washer stalk will not switch itself on when you go over bumps as this has been an issue with heavier unts I have seen in the past.

Set 2 - The seat lifters/rake adjusters would also be supplied as a set (4 off lifters & 2 off rake adjusters) & are also secured with s/s grub screw & feature nitlil grip rings

I have got quotes for 25 sets so far as I thought this would be a good starting point.

Set 1 - £35.00 set (1 ind/light, 1 wash) inc post & packaging (recorded delivery)
Set 2 - £120.00 set (4 lift, 2 rake) inc post & packaging (recorder delivery)

I think the pricing is good tbh if you compare to what used to be available some years ago from a known .......reputable...ahem.... tuners.;) Obviously I would need 25 orders to get these prices. 50+ & the price would come down a couple of quid or so The latger the numbers the more I can negotiate. As you would appreciate, for me to buy 25 sets up front would be a quite large outlay (especially if nobody wanted them.lol), so clearly I would need payment in advance & then the delivery would be approxomately 14 days from me placing the order.

If any one is interest or has any views or comment, or anything else they think would be a good product to get made, then let me no.:agree:

The company I'm using are a great little place & only round the corner from where I live. I use them in my day to day job for prototyping & small production batches so have struck up a really good relationship with them.
