can any tell me how to remove the main jet from the carb. i have un srcew the jet so far but it will not come out of the main jet hole in the carb i have tried banging the carb on the work top also tried using a pick but the jet will not come out of the carb body itself.

remove the top of the carb and lift it out.

sorry bud i must of not made my self clear. the jet is not rolling round in the fuel bowl it still in the main carb body unscrewed as far as pos but will not come out of the hole.

Turn it anticlockwise another 20 turns then try.

right the jet screw's in and out as i can see it moving. but when i unscrew the jet i see it unwinding and it's coming out but then it stop's as it run's out of thread and will not come any further.

is the carb in pieces? if so get a flat head behind the head and put some pressure on it while turning it. if the carb is not in pieces try hooking it out with a pick (piano wire etc...)

try looking for a screw gripper...some times u get them in screwdriver sets....theres a spring clip that grips the slot in a screw....apart from that screw the jet back in and run a drill slightly bigger than the jet with ur hand to remove the burr which is obstructing it!
