It's been a while since the meg 225 engine was fitted to my five and i have done pretty much a few years worth of driving with no problems. So it came to cambelt time and a good service before National day. I had no idea if it was possible to change with the engine in situ as its pretty tight in the bay.

I can confirm it can be done using 2 other horrible individuals:

The engine was bounced around the bay to get clearence but as a the belt and tensioners etc are the worst service items to change it wasn't too bad and went quite smoothly. We also changed the water pump as precaution.

It seems to run so hopefully all is well. :D

Also i had a run out in Andy G's Meg 225 clio 16v and fek me that car is quick!!:eek:

Quite a cool day for a sunday and made a change from changing nappies.

Must admit it was quite a laugh, I was a little disapointed in the lack of biscuits and Matts brew making abilities, but it cheered me up no end watching him trying to squeeze his oversized ass into Andy's bucket seats :laugh:

Had a great Laugh Yesterday and the wife was ok when i took her in a bottle of Milk that the Shouted she needed,

The Belt didnt take 10 minutes to put in, if Speedy the FannY Wonder didnt moan that i had over tensioned it by 0.0000002mm and pissed about getting it 0.000001mm then it woudl have been done in 5 :cooter:

The Main pain was gettingt too the belt, the engien bay is tight!!! :)

Job done, lets hope your cooling temps average them selves out since i blew you bottle :D


Oh and Steve Speedy didnt do that much he just kept going too sleep ....

If you bunch of puffs had put as much effort into grafting as you did into taking gay pics of each other the job would of been done in half the time!!

Got to be the most uncomfortable iv'e ever been in a car seat!! They obviously only make these seats for people with no backs and no arses!:eek:
