Red warning light on temp gauge

Does anyone know when the red warning light should illuminate on the temperature gauge? Mine comes on very early when the needle reaches exactly halfway between the 1st and 2nd marks. Is this normal?

Should it not come on when it reaches the 2/3 mark on the gauge??:scratch:

Just always panics me when I see it start to flash even when it seems to come on so early

or does it differ on all gt turbo's?????

mines never come on.. either your needles lying to you or your gauge is shafted..

mine only comes on when you reach the 2/3 line when the damage is about to be done.

i use to have a gt turbo and that light was always on cleaned the connections and it was fine
