Well it looks as though my attendance to Nat day could be in jeopardy as my car is currently missing both it's front dampers thanks to a bunch of bell ends going by the name of DHL.

As some may know little clio Trophys have motorsport remote resevoir SACHS dampers fitted to the front, these are rebuildable and having owned the car from new (and noticing a decrease in handling) I figured now would be a good time to have them rebuilt.
Theres only one place in the UK who does them so they were sent off last month and after 4 days and £453 quid they were returned fully serviced. I'd already decided to give them a lick of hammerite to ensure a further 5 years of service would be achievable. Anyway upon unpacking the dampers I noticed one of them was quite oily so I gave it a wipe down with a degreaser wipe and set about prepping it for paint the next day when I went back there was still a little bit of oil but I was unsure if I'd missed a bit when degreasing or if it had leaked a little more.

I rang the company up who serviced them and quizzed them about the oil to which they told me they submerge them in an oil tank as part of the servicing so it will just be residue from that, they also asked if they still felt stiff (which they did) so I just left it at that and carried on with the prepping for paint. Well I managed to get them prepped and applied about six coats of paint during the day and left them hanging in the garage for three days to make sure the paint had cured completely, low and behold when I went back in it had oil running down the side coming from the remote adjuster area.

I phoned them up again told them about the leak and TBH they were spot on and full of apologies, I packaged them up and sent them out on friday morning but they still haven't arrived, I checked DHL tracker and according to that it says it's still at Gateshead DHL depot, so today I emailed Parcel2Go to ask whats going on with my parcel as it's still alledgedly in Gateshead. Well I've just checked my emails and they've sent me one back saying DHL have lost it and can I give them a detailed description of it. WTF its a brown box with no distinguishable features apart from it's dimensions and weight.

I'm furious, and just thought I'd let everyone else know how annoyed I am.

 Was looking forward to a ride.

Interesting reading though, for obvious reasons, apparently Matt Wills has found someone else to do them a lot cheaper now, just waiting for peoples opinions.

Right lads some good news, my dampers have arrived home today :yeah: they've been repaired and are back on the car, I was hoping to get it back on the road today but only got as far as fitting my 4 pots ( they still need bleeding). Hopefully I'll get them bled tomorrow, and get my Mark Fish rear konis and springs fitted.

Looks like I'm back in the game and should be ready for Nat day :)
