carb overhaul???

hi,got a carb service kit from cgb today,so going to strip the carb at the weekend.never done it before so wondering if there is anything i should be carful of or watch out for:scratch: only doing it as my carb is starting to leak a bit of fuel from the big rubber gasket at the base.thanks

my advice for clearing is what sparkie told me.. metal tin, few tubs of vinigar , and boiling water, drop the parts in however be carefull how long for as you dont want it eating the threads out, then clean with toothburch or similar
