Right guys some guy is wanting to swap his passat for my 5 his car is in good condition cream leather seats rs4 alloys (i think thats what there called lol) its got high mileage tho 149k and he said its got part service history and he also said it has a upgraded turbo k04.and chipped.it is moted for 10months and taxed for 2.my car is currently not got a mot and 2months tax left but i have just put a t25 turbo and double cap intercooler and full service and fixed all the parts it failed on in the mot.only things that need done is my fan to work and a tyre.what do you think peeps should i be asking him for money on top or just walk away as i am in no rush to get ride of my 5??

What year is it? (personally id stick with the 5) before you swap see if you can jack it up and check the suspensiion links on it, theres 5 ball joints on each side, and get costly to replace them all. (two lower wishbones and ball joints two upper arms with ball joints and the track rod end) They are nice cars also has it had its second cambelt? with 149k it should of.

Its a r reg he dosnt know if the cambelt has been done :S which i find strange.he said somthing about koni suspension.it was just a offer but if its not for me i will be keeping the 5 and getting it moted

Don't do it bud, swapping a GTT for a Passat turbo is like selling a George Foreman grille and buying a toaster from Lidl.

I know which one i would rather have. :)

by vag what engine year and code do u mean is 40k?? i know circa 2003ish is 80k or 4 years



Passat 2000-2004 1.8l 4cyl engine code AUG and AWM are 105kmiles but id never recommend that.

Sorry for the hijack, for an R reg, id say stick with the 5 more fun :D unless u need to save money on fuel. long distance would suit the passat more.
