mixture screw

hey....can the mixture screw be set up by ear once the carb has been re jetted and if so anyone tell me how ?....thx guys

Yes it can be to get it to idle correctly, just a case oif finding the right point where it idles nicely but not too fast. I normally find screwing it out till revs pick up then back off alittle just before revs want to die off again.
Bit of playing is needed but its not too hard to do.

Ideally you want to see what the emissions are doing too as this is what the mot is checked on (emissions at idle) so worth checking after but mainly if the carbs set up right then it won't be far off.
