Its going to be drove down the moterway by the missus to work and be a nice car to have, user friendly, fuel aint an issue , just the lass wants a nice car ,thats safe and not going to fall apart. she has a 2003 1.0 mirca thats being kept as it was her late grandads and aint ever going to be sold, and she will also use this for work on nice summer days, just want a better road holding car for when the weathers crap. and for when we want to go places.

Still what i say will go or we'll fall out, hence why am asking about other cars she likes.

my mates sellin his megane 230 in the next few wks as hes skint now his other half has moved out..... 4k on the clock and hes lookin 4 16k. theres a pic of it in my pictures.

I don't know about the Volvo or the 888 Astra but I was very impressed with he Diesel Vauxhall 1.9 CDTI engine. :)

i'm thinking the 888 is a simlar to the 1.9cdti , just tuned up a little more.

i have also been impressed with the 1.9cdti engine and the cars a nice enough and handle good.

for me that is the best value for money , that or the 1,9cdti, both drive well, look good, and are cheap, compared to the volvo, which is what i'd like i think ,style comfort, fast but dear a fook to buy, and the missus would struggle th park with limited veiw and it being on the big side :(

Either the 888 or the CDTI, but if you wanted the power of the 888 you only have to spend £250 for the tuning kit. plug and play and sorted. Many CDTI owners use it from DUTK and i've heard nothing but good things about it. If you wana save 5k then thats the route I would go.

Also as the kit is plug and play, you don't lose warranty on it as you can simply remove it in 5mins.
