.49 exhaust indicates it's got a T25 exhaust housing. If it's off a silvia it's going to be a full T25 anyway, just using a small trim compressor wheel.

Yes. Depending on what compressor wheel you're already using it could, technically, be a downgrade on the comporessor side.

S117 Renault 5 GT Turbo Stage 2
The standard turbo becomes a restriction on even mildly modified Renault 5 engines. To overcome this problem, Turbo Technics have developed a T25 hybrid to take a highly modified Renault 5 engine to another level.

The S117 utilises a larger T25 compressor wheel and housing, instead of the standard sized T2, for increased power potential. This is matched to a larger capacity turbine housing to increase flow capabilities with minimal lag, and a 360 degree bearing is used to ensure high boost levels can be run reliably. The unit comes supplied with an uprated actuator which will allow the unit to be adjusted from 13PSI up to its 22PSI maximum boost level. With correct engine and fuelling modifications, this turbo will flow enough air for up to 200BHP!

cheers for all your help guys looks like your right adam. doing a bit of research on the turbo technics site looks like it can only handle 18psi and they state that mine will handle 22psi so to me that means its a step down.
