Welcome to the club. Looks in nice condition. Unfortunately, most of us are snobs on here, so your body kit gets points deducted!!:D

yup the rear spoiler HAS got to go lol, ive only had her for a few days so im just waiting for funds permitting as theres a few other jobs i need to take care of first. Have fitted cleaner front seats, brought some tailored mats, fitted speakers and a head unit, waiting for boost controller and gauge to come at the moment. Its had a lot of work done on it over the years and was once owned by CGB motorsport who did a load of work on it and to their credit it was done well. I want to change the wheels also to 15" as the 17" give me very limited clearance (anyone who likes em give me a shout) so without the big wheels and big spoiler i think it will look a lot smarter

Hi mate, welsome to the forum :) although the kit is not to my liking, the car looks clean and the wheels look mint! (as in condition, they could do with losing a few inches as you've already stated lol)

give us a shout if you can dig out that 12v pump buddy, im gonna fit intercooler rad tuesday and larger bore elbow....will keep u posted. Also whats do you reckon is the best way to prevent boost surges, when it comes in on boost its rockets up to near 20 psi before settling down to 15/16 and have has it overboost a few times, i was thinking of using the spider what do u reckon ?

IANMM

no problem mate i will and its worth checking all boost connections etc for leaks/kinks etc.......your actuator prob isn't strong enough are you adj the boost via the in car bleed or by the actuator arm?

wolvo
06-07-2010, 09:49
in car adjustment at the moment, once finished tatting and have found the best boost pressure i will adjust it at the actuator to best setting

put the bigger elbow on today.....lot harder than i first thought lol, it fought me all the way.Its on now anyways and proper job, also fitted water intercooler rad and pipework and filled with water (water tight :))......thanks again ian. If you cant find that pump next time you go down unit i will try to buy one off ebay shouldnt be too expensive i think.

mmmm took her for a run, shes's misfiring and intercooler water level dropped looking like an internal leak :(, gonna investigate further i've had enough today now.

IANMM
07-07-2010, 08:32
check plugs ht leads and dizzy cap first....if misfire is still there put the TDC wire swap back to normal.....have you filled her up with super yet? also with the charge cooler try pressurizing the system with a pump to see if there is a leak but without the pump and the water not moving through the pre rad the system wont be working properly anyways.....

any probs call me

wolvo

checked all usual stuff, its deffo the intercooler i got water spraying out my dump valve like a shower head :D and when i removed it and turned upside down there was loads of water in it, put std intercooler back on and its fine now. There must be an internal leak on the water jacket somewhere, shame really nice piece of kit and expensive when new from pace.

just swapped my 17" wheels and put some ever so slightly smaller 16" wheels on my car after giving them a good clean and a lick of paint, the fitment is loads better with no body rub and a nice smooth ride.....and i can now fit some new rear pads without the calliper hitting the back of my alloys :D.......u think they look ok ?...........still cant get that bloody spoiler off (anyone with a nice red hatch with a smaller spoiler on it who wants to swap give us a shout)
