obviously sligtly diff due to the efi setup but the standard ph1 pump i was using worked ok upto 20 psi ,im sure i ran 25psi with the carb in situ with no probs :)
i was told in the past that instead of searching solely for a ph1 pump you can infact use other fuel pumps from fuel injected cars providing there external pumps.
think rs turbo/xr3i etc

To be fair a pump of any modern petrol turbo car would more than be upto the job.

carb top or manifold mud?
i had a problem rcently where it suddenly leans off,im running 17psi @ manifold on the std ph2 pump, just wondering if it could be the fault?

dont think they'd be up to the job of a modded 5 would they? be ok for std boost i suppose.
all rs turbo, xr3i fuel pumps are mounted externally, unless its the 90 spec with the EFI engine, its located inside the tank. if you use one of these pumps, the escort has to be pre 90`s:agree:
anyone remember what the limits of the std phase 2 pump is?
