i fitted 1.5mm galvanised steel sheet for the inner ones with my gasless mig and a lot of practice on scrap bits to get the current and feed/technique right!!:)

did you do any inner sill replacement from within the car or did you just find good metal from the old inners thanks for your help. do you know of any other photos on here

the top half of the old sill was ok so after i cut it away i joggled the new plate and welded it to it and the floor.i think the joggler was around £50 but the sheet metal was only a fiver!:)

Google 'joddler' and you will see....
It's basically a tool for overlaying a metal sheet over another.
