Hang on, that's listed under the R5 alpine. So i take it the Alpine used the same block and internals as the GTT then Andy?

It is a cracking price considering, hmmmm..........im really tempted, need to have a good think.
Or do i just find a 1.4 campus in a scrappy somewhere...........? :coffee:

The blocks are the same and so are the cranks (well the 1.4 campus crank is deffo the same as the GTT)
Ive got a good block, it's just a crank im wanting.

thought all the campus 1.4 range had the same cranks?

A Campus is a Campus. In the same way a GT Turbo is a GT Turbo, a TL is a TL, a GTX is a GTX, a Monaco is a Monaco etc. Contrary to popular belief, Campus isn't French for non-turbo.

CAMPUS IS THE ACTUAL MODEL ....
yes Bill...LOL

the 1.4 is used in most of the 5 range, also in the 9,11,19 and in france the 21....

the 1.4 block on a C type engine is the same throughout the range....
the 1.4 crank on a C type engine is the same throughout the range....

IF a spigot shaft bearing is fitted then you will find it inside the crack, where the gearbox shaft goes into the crank

Thanks a lot Paul :agree:

So if i get a crank out of an auto, and it has a spigot bearing fitted, i can just remove it and use the crank no worries im guessing?

paul b
21-10-2008, 15:52
YUP.....

the auto may not even have the spigot bearing and if your unsure, you can use the one out of your original crank.....job done
