Engine Misfire on boost

Took car out Saturday, all ran spot on for 80 mile round trip. Then, got some free fuel only standard unleaded as me mate dropped tank on his car and now the 5 runs fine although its started to misfire and shake on boost :(. Have taken plugs out and cleaned then, checked all leads they are ok, could it be the normal unleaded? car had 1/4 tank v power in it, now has 3/4 tank but doesnt drive as it should

Same thing happened to mine, changed the dizzy cap and rotar arm and all was well;)

Ahh right ta, only thing is dizzy/rotor arm and ht leads have been on there about 8 months and only covered around 1000 miles since so could it be them? :dearme:

may be a carb problem? jets got crap in them / blocked?,when was your inline fuel filter changed? that free fuel could have had some crap in it thats partly blocked your fuel line somewhere maybe:scratch:

Could be carb problem, inline fuel filter changed about 3 years ago when tank was, done less than 2000 miles since, didnt use the 'dregs' of the fuel right at the bottom, wish stuck with the usual now :scared:

Mite just be mine but when i put s**t petrol in i had hesitation when coming on boost luckily i only put a tenner in so topped her back up with some high octaine and all was good.

Ran car until fuel level low, £30 of V Power in it and she's running fine again! :) obviously doesnt like normal unleaded! :D
