hey all, within the next month or so i intend to relieve my much loved 5 gt turbo of some of its gathering rust. Like many the windscreen surround needs replacing, and i have some small rust patches around the rear quarters(might be worse than it looks).
Not too sure on the sills, they look pretty solid , but hey who knows, lol.
Does anyone know of someone capable of the work in the romford/essex area, any help welcome.

thx in advance

99.9% that haven't had any welding need some, i love it when people claim a cars rust free:coffee:

what you can see is only the half of it, theres gonna be a lot more on your journey under the bodykit, carpet, dash, arches, floorpan etc..

dont spend a penny until you have fully found out what your getting into..:)

try and find a college that teach body repairs and mechanics etc... they can usually do it well as they will be supervised and for the cost of materials as its good to teach the students. Im going to be asking the one near me as soon as its running.

i do have to agree with dave mate on this one mine looked like some small bits of rust that turned into a new screen surround fitted new inner and outer seals both sides new drivers floor pan new wings boot area rotten tailgate rotten and some extra bits of welding done i asked for welding cost me £1,700 and the total to finish my car without the cost of panels was £5,200 so just keep an eye on your pocket mate as you can get carried away [never again]

i'd buy a 5 with a blown engine, snapped suspension and no brakes if the shell was rust free :D they can all be fixed, rust is such a headache.
