I have a good rebuilt turbo on my j plate r5.. I fitted a filter and braided hose on the oil line.. the cars probably ran for about 15 mins in total with this one, and ive drove about 200meters with it, and came on boost once..

I removed the turbo feed and found there was no signs of oil in it.. Strange i though , i blew thru it and its free however no oil dripped out..

Ive now gone back to the original turbo feed however im thinking if i may have already done damage :(..

Theres no inn and out play on the turbo, and only a small amount of side to side..

Check if the one-way valve isn't stuck or clogged up mate.

Unplug the crank sensor, Get a small tub under the drain on the turbo ( Leave the drain return pipe off the turbo) and then crank engine until oil can be seen coming out of the drain on the turbo into the tub. Primed. Simple :agree:

i use to feed oil direct into turbo feed using funnel ,until almost coming out of top of feed union, then leave for 30 secs or so and spin turbine slowly by hand, then with feed pipe disconnected and ignition disabled ,turn over engine for a few seconds until oil comes through feed pipe when engined cranked, then reconnect feed and ignition and start engine but leave to idle for 30 secs before you start using revs:)
