hi guys just wondered how hard is it to replace a master cylinder and is there any thing i should be carefull of when doing it cheers lads:)

Its a bit fiddly but not too bad, Use a proper brake pipe spanner to undo the pipes as there very easy to round off.

cheeers brigsy yee i thought so.not 100% it is master cylinder but ive bled the front and the peddle is still going to the floor and not coming right back up? peddle is also really really soft? cheers:)

Might just be air in the system try bleeding all the calipers first:)

If there is air in the system, you may need to bleed the complete system. Start with the furthest away calliper form the servo. You will need a pressure bleed kit if you are on your own. Connect the kit, for the rears you will need to hold the rear compensator value in if the car is off the floor. Start with the rear passenger’s side then rear driver’s side, then front passengers side and finish off with the driver’s side front.
Is there any sign of brake fluid leaking anywhere?

cheers for that no signs off any leaks anywere got to change the brake pipe that goes by the fuel the tank anyway because they failed it on the mot so once ive done this i shall try and bleed them again thanks for all the help:)
